The 13th Annual ESAA Golf Tournament was held at the Alberta Springs Golf on July 18th, 2008. 144 golfers enjoyed a cloudy, sunny, raining Alberta summer day, of golfing, networking and great food.

Through the sale of Muligans ($1,440 raised), PHH ARC Environmental’s Texas Hold'em Draw ($820 raised), and the ESAA Chip-in for Charity ($705), $2,965 was raised for Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s Ilsa Mae Research Fund.

During the past 10 Golf Tournaments, ESAA, its members and clients have now raised nearly $21,000 for MDC. Thank-you!!! Since the inception of the fund, nearly $54,000 has been raised and since 1998, ESAA Members and the environment industry have raised over $73,000 to support the initiatives of MDC.

ESAA would like to thank all of the individuals who participated, the incredible number of sponsors and all those who donated prizes. A special thanks to Bodycote Testing Group for sponsoring the See Your Game Swing Analysis (you will be receiving a separate e-mail with link to your videos), and Biogenie for sponsoring breakfast, Wardrop Engineering for sponsoring dinner and Morgan Construction and Environmental for sponsoring the carts.. Without your support, this level of success would not be possible.

ESAA PRESENTS A NETWORKING LUNCH WITH COLONEL MIKE MULLANE SEPTEMBER 9, 2008 - CALGARY
As a direct result of the response received at and since RemTech 2007, the Environmental Services Association of Alberta (ESAA) is pleased to announce a networking lunch in support of the Environmental Artworks Foundation of Alberta, featuring Colonel Mike Mullane, NASA Astronaut (retired).

The lunch will be held on September 9th, 2008 in Calgary. Mike Mullane's presentation, "Countdown to Success" is one of the most amazing presentations you will see and you will walk away from the event with a profoundly new way of looking at work related challenges. His presentation focuses on trust, responsibility, self leadership, team leadership and the "Normalization of Deviance".

His presentation is made extremely memorable by his life stories and real life experiences and the accompanying audio/visual presentation. If you have seen his presentation before experience it with your co-workers, colleagues and clients as a team building activity. REMTECH 2008 DRAFT PROGRAM NOW AVAILABLE
ESAA is pleased to annouce that the draft agenda for RemTech 2008 is now available on the RemTech website, http://www.esaa-events.com/remtech/. The RemTech 2008 program is once again very full with technical sessions, keynote speakers, networking opportunities and two new workshops on the Wednesday, October 15th. Preliminary details for these workshops is available with full details following later this summer. Attendance at these workshops is included in your RemTech delegate registration fee.
