About WaterTech 2010

ESAA is pleased to report that the 2nd Annual WaterTech Symposium, held in April 2009, was a huge success! Building on that success, we are announcing WaterTech 2010 – the premier water technology transfer event for environmental professionals. Attendance at the second WaterTech exceeded all expectations, with a waiting list for both delegates and exhibitors. WaterTech 2010 is highly recommended for all industry sectors that have an interest in the technical aspects of water and wastewater management.

Since 2002, ESAA has hosted the incredibly successful RemTech Symposium each October in Banff. Delegate & exhibitor numbers, as well as sponsorship support, increased steadily, causing RemTech to outgrow its original venue after three years. Owing to the ongoing space limitations at RemTech, ESAA has not been able to profile water technology to the level it deserves and delegates want. WaterTech gives us the opportunity to focus on a relevant and growing area of interest in the environmental sector. Thanks to the success of the first WaterTech, we have moved to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel in 2009. ESAA anticipates more than 400 delegates and close to 50 exhibitors will participate in the third WaterTech.

Symposium Program

The two-day technical program will consist of a minimum of 30 platform presentations grouped into sessions chaired by leaders in environmental remediation research and application.

The program will be developed from abstracts collected from across North America. A full listing of abstracts and presenter biographies will be available in the near future.

Water Resources and Water Quality, Groundwater-Surface Water Interaction, Groundwater and Surface Water Management, Watershed Modelling, Planning, and Management, Data Collection, Monitoring, and Testing, Ecohydrology, Protection and Sustainable Management of Water Resources, Emerging Contaminants, Disaster Planning, Facility Operations, Industrial Issues, and Technologies, Industrial and Municipal Wastewater Treatment, Coal-bed Methane Development, Deep Well Injection, Beneficial Uses of Produced Water, Water Conservation and Re-use, Integrated Research, Nanotechnology Applications, Regulatory Issues, Including Saline versus Non-Saline Water

In addition to the detailed technical program, WaterTech 2010 will also include various networking sessions, keynote speakers, a welcoming reception and an expanded commercial exhibition area.
